  •  Important Notes:

    The paper concerned must be ACCEPTED by the organizer.
    Applications must be submitted BEFORE the event start date. Post-event application will NOT be entertained.
     
    Applications for events with start date between 1 June 2026 and 31 August 2026 will also be accepted for consideration in the upcoming RTG round (i.e. deadline on 1 September 2026) on the condition that they are submitted before the start date of the event. Please note that the funding conditions and support levels applicable to the 2025/26 academic year shall apply to these applications.

    Effective from 2026/27 academic year (i.e. for events starting on or after 1 September 2026):
    The following documents MUST be uploaded to complete the application. Please make sure that you have the documents ready before you proceed to fill in the application form.

  • The call for papers or the conference programme
  • A letter of acceptance or invitation to present the paper
  • A copy of the abstract and/or paper to be presented

  • You may also upload the following optional documents for reference of your supervisor(s) when reviewing applications. If these documents are not provided at the time of submission or are updated after submission, there is no need to replace them from the RTG application form or send them to the Research Office. You may notify your supervisor(s) directly as you deem necessary. If your application is approved, you will be required to submit the relevant supporting documentation to the Finance Office for reimbursement via your academic department.
